The training sessions within the project capitalize on the potential for action identified in the research stage and aim to develop competences in terms of sustainability both in dormitory administrators and in polytechnic students.
The session for administrators (in July 2023) aimed at identifying support actions for incorporating the principles of responsible consumption in the residences of the Polytechnic dormitories and running awareness campaigns regarding the sustainable way of life among dormitory students.
These principles are reinforced by the posters displayed on the monitors at the dormitory entrances, by the posters urging responsible consumption and by the new dormitory contracts, in force from September 2023, which include explicit provisions regarding the consumption of water, electricity and heat, such as and regarding the separate collection of waste, objectives developed by the project team.
Additionally, the two training sessions for students, held on October 13-14 and 20-21, respectively, completed the team of “sustainability ambassadors”, forming the active core that will contribute to the implementation of the project’s activities.
