Waste

Show that you care!

Waste is a material resulting from technological or domestic processes of manufacturing a certain product, that can no longer be recovered directly in production. They can be substances, materials, objects, remnants of raw materials from economic, household and consumer activities. 2.2 billion tons of waste are generated in the EU every year. Waste is a major source of pollution. Its proper management can reduce its effect on human health, the environment, or the appearance of a habitat. Waste management also aims to save natural resources by reusing recoverable parts.

Here’s what you can do, right now:

  • Reduce consumption and avoid packaging waste generation.
  • Reuse and repair your goods.
  • Recycles, through selective storage of waste (plastic, paper and cardboard, metal, organic waste).
  • Rethink your lifestyle.
  • Target? ZERO WASTE! It is a methodology aimed at ensuring that no waste ends up in landfill and that the materials we already have in circulation are used to produce new useful objects.
